Taking the theme of "City Mobilization", this year's Bi-city Biennale proposes an investigation into the organization and balance of social life within contemporary urban China. aberrant exhibited 'Gordon Wu' city local, which was a trade stand offering a bottom-up strategy for the future development of the city and for the inhabitants of Shenzhen’s villages.

‘Gordon Wu’ City Local presents a series of franchised, business opportunities for the inhabitants of Shenzhen’s villages in the city. By utilising the urban villages and the energy of the social conditions that they provide, these franchises will provide the infrastructure needed to support the city’s home based mobile workforce.
